What is fact and what is yours
The only cost on this page that comes from the SRA is the SQE1 fee: £2,006, which the SRA announced on 21 April 2026 for candidates booking to sit from October 2026. Everything else is your own figure. Course fees, books and question banks vary widely, and this page quotes no provider's prices. Time off counts what a day away from work costs you, whether that is unpaid leave or lost earnings, for your study days and for the two assessment days.
Planning for a resit
Three attempts at SQE1 are allowed within six years. A candidate who fails one FLK resits only that one, so the calculator shows two resit totals: one FLK, and both. A resit of both is costed at the current SQE1 fee. The SRA reviews its fees each year, so a resit booked in a later year may cost more.
The fee to resit a single FLK is not shown as a fact because we could not confirm it on the SRA's own pages. Enter it from your SQE account when you book and the total for that case appears. The SQE1 resit page covers the attempts rule and the deadlines.

No. The fee pays for the assessments. Courses, books and question banks are bought separately, and the SRA does not require any of them.
FLK1 and FLK2 are each sat on a single day, in different weeks of the window, and each day is two sessions of 85 questions. Travel, accommodation and time off are counted once for each day.
